The Spark of Genius: Spontaneity. (Steve Jobs.)

The apples of genius.

When they invented the celluloid film, the inventors couldn't decide what width the film should be. For advice, the went to Thomas Edison, the ultimate inventor.

Edison listened to them, had a think, then snapped his fingers, and said: 'Why, it should be like this!' And he showed a thumb and an index finger raised as a fork – the way we used to look at the frames of a processed film. It turned out to be 35mm. And so it stayed for nearly a hundred years.

When the first Macintosh was being designed, Jobs wanted an efficient functionality device to be added. He looked at a roll-on deodorant with its ball, – and had a eureka. 'I want one like that,' he demanded. That's how the mouse was born.

This quote is from Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple:
One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
